Originally commissioned for Vivid Sydney 2023, The Hive is a towering, 3D-programmed LED installation that synchronizes hexagonal light patterns with an original score by Mike Midnight. The structure serves as a mesmerizing homage to the honeycomb, highlighting the vital ecological importance of bees and the environmental threats they face. By blending technology with natural geometry, it aims to raise awareness about declining bee populations and their impact on global biodiversity.
